Wow what a place. From the front you have no clue what is inside. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming, the decor is amazing and the rooms are very nice. The beds were very comfortable, we had a family room that was huge with a bath and shower. Really lovely outdoor seating area. Parking is free around the back. Breakfast was really tasty, and all top quality. I would quite happily stay here over and over again. Loved it.
I went here for an Art Exhibition. The artist was Anita Mortimer and we had a fantastic time. The Admiral Rodney is a beautiful place, it's classy and has so much character. The restaurant downstairs it very nice, very comfortable and the food it's presented well and tastes wonderful, and little on the pricy side but very nice indeed. The room that was used for the exhibition had a small bar at one end and a small dance floor at the other end which would be great for a wedding reception. It has rooms but I've never stayed here but I think it would be lovely.

Well kept pub with varied menu . Great food , friendly staff . Dog friendly outer court yard seating area and smoking area. Highly recommend .
Lovely family feel Hotel, I stop at lots of Hotels and this one I give 5 Stars for friendly staff, excellent food and as a Vegetarian they accommodate my dietary requirements perfectly. I have stopped at several hotels in the area and although all are good, they don't compare to this hassle free and more than comfortable Hotel with the best food on offer for all tastes. It is also extremely good value, I fully recommend it for short or long stay.

Don't be put off by the exterior or the caravan camping club behind! It's a thatched pub without the thatch...What a character find with the most brilliant food and friendly girls and owner who run this place. Log fire and pub paraphernalia make for a cozy experience. How a pub with good food should be run. Thank you...
A Dinner Date with my Husband. For a treat my husband booked for us to eat out on We4densdayt evening for a change. We were shown to our table in the window in the old part of this lovely pub. There was a good menu to choice from. I decided to have the Thimberly Chicken, and Stuart had Fish and Chips and Garden peas. We had to wait quite a time over half an hour but they were busy and I know that the food is always cooked fresh so you don't mind waiting. It arrived piping hot and smelling great. The Chicken consisted of breast, bar-a-que sauce and a slice of bacon and cheese that had been under the grill. Served with Salted Chips and a small salad in a dish. It was absolutely lovely, tender chicken great sauce and the salad had a lovely dressing on it, that made it. Stuarts meal was again piping hot and he said that it was excellent.Together with the drinks it was over £26.00 which was very good value. We will remember next time that Wednesday Nights is Quiz Night so if you want a quiet meal together then maybe choose another night.
