The Ramblers Association now have a greatly improved website which is an exceptional rescource for all walkers, hykers and young families wanting to go for walks with young children. This site lists everything from historical walks to guided walks and really audious walks.

Find A Walk Near Me by Walking Britain is a truly excellent and free resource. Just enter where you are or where you would like to walk - and print out directions. The walks are graded and you can buy a specific map of the area at the same time. These are proper OS maps and weather proofed if required.

I always think of walking as one of the few activities you can do for free - and now you can with this guide!

The Original Factory Shop

I'm a regular customer and Love this place normally but today in the very hot weather -29 degrees it was unbearable ....no cooling system at all. Fitting rooms VERY HOT! Will return when the weather is cooler. Management needs to take note ...even staff were suffering

You get some great deals at the store plenty of parking

School House Coffee Bar

Church Ln, Horncastle LN9 5HW, UK – 01507 524723

First visit today. Large parking area as Horncastle is difficult to find a parking place. Tables outside for fine weather dining. Large dining area, bright, clean and airy. Varied menu. Staff smartly dressed and friendly. Will definitely visit here again. I would recommend it

Cycled from Woodland Spa with family including the dog and looking for a coffee and cake stop to refuel before return journey. Motor cyclist saw us looking lost and intercepted us on the car park in the town and directed us to this coffee shop. Absolutely fabulous - fantastic selection of cake and ice cream - too much choice. Sat outside with the family and the dog - perfect. Would definitely recommend and would not have found it without the assistance of the unknown motorcyclist so worth knowing if you are visiting Horncastle. Menu looked great and plenty of inside seating as well.

The Old Stables

Market Pl, Horncastle LN9 5HB, UK – 01507 523253

Lovely place. We really enjoyed it here. I googled dog friendly cafes in Lincoln and this came up. We headed over on a Saturday and were allowed to sit indoors with Marley Dog. Everything was lovely, my only problem was there wasn’t a great vegetarian choice. I wouldn’t touch a veggie breakfast anywhere unless it was a veggie restaurant as you can’t trust it’s not been cooked with meat. Otherwise it was great. Nice and clean and dog friendly. Pic is Marley en route to the cafe.

Everyone is very friendly and chatty. My dad, Fred Parker, goes in most days and gets properly spoilt. He enjoys the way staff have time for a laugh and some banter. Plus delicious food and coffee on offer.
